I graduated from Eckerd College in 1978 with an honors degree in American Studies and then attended law school at USC. After earning my law degree, I passed the California Bar Exam and began practicing law in Los Angeles in 1981. A few months after becoming an attorney I began representing injured people in personal injury claims, and I have enjoyed doing this rewarding work ever since.
I spent the first 13 years of my practice working at several law firms, and in May 1994 I opened my own office, Law Offices of Ronald Fomalont. My office is located at Warner Center, 5850 Canoga Ave., Suite 400, Woodland Hills, CA. 91367.  Since opening my own office I have handled almost one thousand matters.

My clients are

the victims of the negligence or intentional misconduct of others. About half of my clients have been injured in auto, motorcycle, or bicycle crashes, and the rest were injured by falls, work-place incidents, dog bites, and other mishaps.

My job is

to obtain the maximum compensation for my injured clients, usually from insurance companies. Injured individuals need representation because insurance companies try to pay injured people as little money as possible. 

The best part of being a personal injury attorney

is helping people who have been injured, suffered property damage and possibly loss of income, and who may not have insurance to cover needed medical treatment. I help the injured client understand their options, handle the paperwork and numerous details that come up, monitor their medical treatment and strive to obtain the maximum compensation that they are entitled to.

In my spare time

I enjoy hiking with my family in the Santa Monica Mountains and practicing martial arts. I also serve as a board member of a non-profit environmental organization and am president of a local chamber of commerce.  I was also a founder and board member of the Ricky Bell Memorial Scholarship Fund for many years. The Fund raised money and awarded scholarships to underprivileged Los Angeles high school students who needed financial assistance to attend college.
